DWP is planning stormwater capture projects in the following parks adjacent to Greater Valley Glen: David M. Gonzales Recreation Center, Fernangeles Park, Strathern Park North, Whitsett Fields Park, North Valley Plaza Park North, Valley Plaza Park South, Alexandria Park, North Hollywood Park (A), North Hollywood Park (B), Valley Village Park
A Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) for the Stormwater Capture Parks Program has been prepared, and we are in the public comment period which ends Feb 8.

There are some park trees being removed at some of the parks, though no protected species. The MND has pretty good diagrams on pp 17-34, though no pictures of the individual trees they want to remove. Their explanation of what is going on with the trees is on pp. 78-81 of the MND.
