New Valley Glen Signal Protects Pedestrians

A new crosswalk signal at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Varna Avenue is in place protect pedestrians on this major East Valley thoroughfare, which sees upwards of 27,000 vehicles a day. This is a vital intersection on the route to Erwin Street Elementary School.

You can also do your part by dumping or draining water in neglected swimming pools, ponds, rain barrels, discarded tires, buckets or anything capable of holding water for more than a few days.

Safe Parking to be Offered in North Hollywood

Ten spots will be offered at a lot owned by the County at 5300 Tujunga Avenue in North Hollywood. Nonprofit Safe Parking LA will operate the program, including managing the parking lot, developing an action plan with each person, and guiding them to permanent housing, jobs, training, emergency support, and other services.
