North Hollywood High School Modernization Project
North Hollywood High School is embarking on a $250 million modernization project starting mid 2020 which will retain and upgrade historic buildings and replace the rest.
Self Cleaning Restroom Now Open at North Hollywood Park
The new restroom has a unique, contemporary design, is ADA compliant, and is programmed to clean itself after a set number of uses. It’s equipped with self-timer technology which audibly alerts users if they have exceeded the time allotted for occupancy.
Southern San Fernando Valley Airplane Noise Task Force Launched
Over the next six months, the task force will convene regular public meetings to collaborate on solutions to existing aircraft operations affecting communities in the southern San Fernando Valley.

Each member of the GVGC has joined because of an interest in a particular community issue. For Joanne, it was trees. She moved to Valley Glen in 2013 on a beautiful tree-lined street and was surprised one day when the city came and significantly cut back the trees. Her outrage spurred her into action and she joined the GVGC. You can too! We invite you to run for a seat and work on issues of importance to you. Now is the time!
