Hayvenhurst Av: Construction is scheduled to begin as early as Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Metro G Line Busway crossing at Hayvenhurst Avenue. The contractor will conduct minor construction as part of the Metro G Line Pilot Gate Technology Testing. As a result, the Lake Balboa Park entrance at Hayvenhurst Av will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists. Detour signage will direct park users to alternate entrances at Balboa Bl and Woodley Av.
Van Nuys Bl: Beginning as early as Friday, August 1, 2025, the contractor will implement an overnight closure of Van Nuys Bl between Delano St and Califa St to set up a long-term traffic modification. This traffic modification will be in place on Van Nuys Bl between Calvert St and Oxnard St, and will include:
- Reducing traffic from three lanes to two lanes in each direction
- Removal of the left-turn pocket from Van Nuys Bl to Aetna St
- Installation of a covered pedestrian walkway on both sides of Van Nuys Bl along the construction area
