At our January 5, 2026 Meeting we heard a crime update from LAPD. A stakeholder reported on how some residents were coordinating efforts in neighborhoods to install Flock cameras on private property for the purpose of increasing neighborhood security. The cameras read the license plates of all cars driving by and can provide that information to LAPD to identify stolen cars. Some residents had expected that the information would be instantaneous and would trigger immediate action on stolen cars, but in practice is has not worked that way. Nonetheless, the cameras have served as a deterrant and he suggested others might be interested in investigating this as one solution to crime. The cost was reported to be above $2,000.
Another stakeholder inquired about tree trimming on the Victory medians. Join us for our next meeting February 2.
