Councilmember Krekorian joined the Greater Valley Glen Council to celebrate the completion of a new utility box mural by local artist Cheryl Goettemoeller. The reimagined utility box is a part of the city’s Utility Box Art Project, which brings public art to these under utilized spaces in the community.

The Greater Valley Glen Council is proud to show you the progress on beautiful artwork we are sponsoring in Valley Glen. We invited stakeholders to submit proposals to paint a utility box mural and chose the work of Mrs. Cheryl Goettemoeller whose design features native plants. She is painting her mural on a utility box at the northeast corner of Fulton Avenue and Burbank Blvd, next to Los Angeles Valley College.
This is our first LADOT utility box art mural and we are looking forward to hosting more competitions to beautify our community in the future.
