This month, Shine LA will be held on Saturday, October 24 at the East Valley Animal Shelter (14409 Vanowen St. Van nuys, CA 91405) from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and we would love to see you and your neighbors there! YOU CAN REGISTER HERE

This Shine LA will consist of two components: a pet resource fair outside in the shelter’s parking lot and adoptions and shelter-related volunteer activities inside. Please note that pets will not be allowed inside the shelter for the safety of all animals. If you plan to bring your pet for resources but would like to see the shelter animals available for adoption, please bring a friend to watch your pet for you outside.

We are also excited to share that all adoption fees (with the exception of a mandatory $20 license) will be waived for the duration of the event! Shelter pets come vaccinated, chipped, and spayed/neutered. If you are considering adopting at all, we highly encourage you to come between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and see if your new best friend is there!

Additionally, ahead of the event, we will collect donations for our new adoptee care bag assembly activity for Shine LA all the way through October 23 in the Van Nuys City Hall lobby. We need items such as bulk dog and cat toys, kitty litter, treats, and more.
