Families and community members arrived at Valley Glen Community Park in masses to kick off the neighborhood’s spring festival last weekend. The Greater Valley Glen Council hosted the event in collaboration with Councilmember Krekorian and the Valley Glen Neighborhood Association.
With live music, fun activities for kids, and plenty of food from local eateries, the festival offered something for the whole family. Local partners and city departments, including the Los Angeles Police and Fire departments, City Plants, the LA Animal Services and more, were available to answer questions and provide resources to residents. During the festival, the Literacy Club gave away more than 700 free, brand new books to festival goers.
