Greater Valley Glen NC Mission

Neighborhood Councils are official bodies created under the City Charter of Los Angeles. The Greater Valley Glen Council consists of committed stakeholders who plan and implement community projects, and serves as a link between stakeholders and elected representatives and government agencies. The GVGC shall seek to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the community, and to preserve and enhance its character.

Rhodes Ave Park now has solar-powered lights with no wires to steal, and because they are not connected to the electrical grid, they're not vulnerable to windstorms and power outages.

Solar Street Lights Approved by Mayor

The new initiative, an historic agreement between the LADWP and the Bureau of Street Lighting will identify and install up to 60,000 solar street lights across the city over the next two years. This Solar Street Lights Initiative will also address the more than 32,000 street light service requests by either modernizing these lights or repairing them.
