Greater Valley Glen NC Mission

Neighborhood Councils are official bodies created under the City Charter of Los Angeles. The Greater Valley Glen Council consists of committed stakeholders who plan and implement community projects, and serves as a link between stakeholders and elected representatives and government agencies. The GVGC shall seek to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the community, and to preserve and enhance its character.

City Sues Landlord Over Gang-Plagued Apartment Complex

The complex, which occupies an entire block from 13100 to 13212 Vanowen, is adjacent to St. Paul Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church and 500 feet away from James Madison Middle School. Stray bullets have entered church property, and Madison parents have reported gang members attempting to recruit children on their way to and from school.

GVGC Creates Butterfly Garden

Check out our new butterfly garden in Valley Glen Community Park. We are excited to have worked with the Theodore Payne Foundation to plant natives that attract butterflies, creating a local butterfly habitat.
