The Greater Valley Glen Council consists of committed community stakeholders who plan and implement community projects to foster improvement. The GVGC shall seek to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the community, to preserve and enhance its character and prevent its deterioration.

Coronavirus News & Resources

The County has closed beaches, beach bike paths, bathrooms, piers, promenades and trails. The City has closed all outdoor sports amenities — including skate parks, tennis courts, baseball fields, and basketball courts. Parks still remain open for walking or running; however, when at a park for any reason, Angelenos must maintain a distance of at least six feet between individuals at all times. Restrooms accessible to the outdoors will remain open during regular operating hours.

Grant High School Construction & Tree Removal Notice

As a part of the $175 million Comprehensive Modernization project currently underway, they are scheduled to remove 19 trees during spring break. (Overall, a total of 48 existing trees will be removed, and 99 new trees will be planted. A new irrigation system will be installed for new trees.)
