ARTS & EDUCATION: Linda Wehrli, Chairperson
To promote partnerships with artists and schools in the Greater Valley Glen Community and to encourage appreciation of artistic and educational activities in Greater Valley Glen.

BEAUTIFICATION: Arline Simon, Chairperson
To promote and implement improvements to the appearance and common good of the Greater Valley Glen community through beautification projects, including but not limited to median plantings, monument signs, and public parks as well as facilitate grants to help support these goals.

LOCATION FILMING & PERMITS/LONG RANGE PLANNING: Martin Donabedian, Chairperson

LAND USE & PLANNING: Douglas Breidenbach, Chairperson; Ted Geldberg, Co-Chairperson
To monitor and report to the council on zoning issues/and planning for proposed developments in Greater Valley Glen as well as other city/state proposals that affect the status quo regarding current codes and zoning regulations.

OUTREACH: Carlos Ferreyra, Chairperson
To outreach to the stakeholders in the community in order to promote involvement and a voice in the governance of their neighborhood council. To coordinate community/town hall meetings on issues affecting Greater Valley Glen. Responsible for mailings, postings, web site management, e-mails and other means to provide information to the stakeholders regarding the council and related activities.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: Terry Anderson, Chairperson
To promote stakeholder involvement in the safety and quality of life issues in the community, including Neighborhood Watch programs as well as communicating with the LAPD Senior Leads; promote awareness of the Emergency Preparedness Program which includes developing a plan and helping community preparedness. Monitor government decisions or proposals and other related entities affecting the community, and to communicate, as directed by the council, with said agencies regarding the position of the council on specific issues. To deal with services related to the business of the council.

RULES, BYLAWS & ELECTIONS: Judy Price, Chairperson
The review and make recommendations to the council regarding the current bylaws and election procedures. To oversee the planning and governance for the next GVGC election.

AD-HOC COMMITTEES

DENSITY BONUS: Charlotte Laws, Chair
To monitor and report to the council about the L.A. city proposal for the implementation of the State's density bonus laws, SB1818 & SB 435, regarding zoning concessions for multi housing developments in or around major transit corridors, particularly as they relate to Greater Valley Glen.

SOUTHEAST VALLEY DEVELOPMENTS:, Terry Anderson, Chairperson

VACANCIES: Eli Kademian, Chairperson
Solicit and review candidates for vacant council seats and to make recommendations to the President for nomination and council approval.
